The Drop is an interactive, immersive escape experience from award-winning entertainment company Swamp Motel. Audiences descend into the dark underbelly of modern day espionage to lift the lid on a centuries old secret, taking on a leading role as the narrative unfurls in unexpected ways. A unique theatrical experience in London.

The Drop will take place at 55 Aldgate High Street, EC3N 1AL.

Please allow 1 hour from the time you enter the building.

You are more than welcome to wear whatever you like, but please note The Drop is an interactive and fast-paced experience so comfortable shoes and clothes are advisable.

You must be over 18 to experience The Drop.

There will be a dedicated day of accessible performances for The Drop that will be accessible for assisted wheelchair users. For specific accessibility information, or to let us know your specific needs, please contact boxoffice@swampmotel.co.uk

Audiences experience The Drop in private groups of 2 to 4 people. The personal nature of the experience minimises direct contact with other audience members.


We have ensured that there is ventilation and regular air changes throughout the experience. We also have enhanced cleaning measures in place and a hand sanitisation station on arrival. 

Masks and/or face coverings are compulsory throughout the experience, unless you are medically exempt. If you do not wear a mask/face covering we reserve the right to refuse you entry. 


Please do NOT attend if you or anyone in your household is displaying Covid-19 symptoms, has tested positive in the past 14 days, or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive in the last 14 days. Please refer to the latest government guidance on self-isolation 


If you are unable to attend, please contact the box office as early as possible on 
boxoffice@swampmotel.co.uk. We are able to exchange your ticket for a different date/time, subject to availability, up to 24 hours prior to your booked time-slot.

Due to the nature of The Drop, unfortunately we have no latecomers policy, so you must arrive ready to begin at the time stated on your ticket. If you are late, we will not be able to refund or reschedule your booking.

During The Drop you will be spending extended periods of time in enclosed spaces with limited lighting. Therefore this experience may not be suitable for visitors with claustrophobia. For further details, please contact boxoffice@swampmotel.co.uk.

Food and any drink other than water are not permitted on the premises, including alcohol. We reserve the right to refuse entry and remove you from the premises at any time if, in our reasonable opinion, you are intoxicated.

There are no cloakroom facilities at The Drop so please travel light. There are elements of the experience which take place in confined spaces. No luggage or large bags as anything you bring with you will have to remain on your person for the duration of the game.

We don’t want to spoil the experience and therefore have avoided giving too much away in our promotional material. Often, it’s the twists, turns, and unexpected moments that characterise a Swamp Motel production.

However, we’re also conscious that some moments in The Drop may potentially be distressing for some individuals. If there are certain themes that you know would cause you extreme distress or trigger traumatic memories, please do email our Box Office on  before you book, or call on 020 3389 5782, and we can tell you more about the show and address any concerns.
